LOST AND FOUND

If you try and work for God, you will experience tremendous satanic backlash. Satan doesn’t want anybody to get saved or healed or blessed, etc. In this story the older brother gets upset. He is used by Satan to try and destroy the good thing God has done.

All my life I have had people come against me when I have been trying to work for God. Sometimes it has been family members, or best friends. Sometimes it is the pastor or the evangelist. Sometimes the car will break down for no reason. Sometimes the car will be stolen or the windscreen smashed. Sometime robbers will steal all your master recordings. Sometimes the police will break into your house and steal your things. Sometimes your old girlfriends will turn against you. Sometimes the leader of the church will turn against you. Many times you will be forced to work overtime and never get paid for it. I am talking from experience. Sometimes your guitar will break. Sometimes your amplifier will break. Sometimes the police will stop you from singing. The copyright people will threaten to take you to court. Sometimes you will be kicked out of the house you are staying in. Sometimes people will slash your car tires. Sometimes you will get an eviction notice. Sometimes you will get very sick. Sometimes the devil will try to kill you.

Satan hates you will try to destroy you in any way that he can. He will try to discourage you and cause you to quit working for God. It is normal. Don’t give up. Some people end up in jail or in big lawsuits. Keep the faith. Most of the disciples of Jesus were murdered for their faith. He that endures to the end shall be saved. They overcame the devil by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony, and loved not their lives unto the death.

I wrote a song once about the prodigal son, but it is in the Afrikaans language: Vader maak U arms oop.

Fire on the farm

I heard a story once about a farmer who had a fire on his farm, and the next day he went to assess the damage. As he walked in the field, he saw something dark and thought it was someone’s old jacket that had got burnt in the fire, so he kicked it, and out ran a bunch of baby chicks. He was shocked, and he realized that he had kicked the mother hen who had protected her babies from being burnt in the fire. She had allowed herself to be burnt to death so that her babies could survive. There is no greater love than that. No greater love in the whole world than that. Would you do that for someone else?

That is the kind of love of Jesus has for us. Jesus died for us. He suffered such terrible pain and torture so that we can be saved by faith in his sacrifice on our behalf. Don’t turn Jesus away beloved, receive him now as your Saviour.

Jesus mourned over Jerusalem.

I think Jesus was quoting from one of the books in the Apocrypha.

Luke also mentions Jesus mourning over Jerusalem: O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! (Luke 13:34).

I wrote a song once about Jerusalem called: Jerusalem I love

Remember Jesus

Jesus died on the cross and shed his own precious blood to pay for the sins of every person on the earth. No matter who you are, and where you live, Jesus paid the price to set you free from your sins and for you to inherit eternal life. It is up to you to choose him as your Saviour. Turn from your sins and follow him. There is no other way to get eternal life.

When Jesus died there was an earthquake that cracked the rock right by the side of the cross. The Roman soldier pierced his side and his blood flowed down through the crack in the rock onto the mercy seat located in Jeremiah’s grotto way below. The price was paid for your sins by the pure Lamb of God. Eternal life is free to you just for the asking. Go for it, and God bless you.

Luke wrote: And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. (Luke 22:19). Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. (Luke 22:20).

Paul wrote: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. (1 Corinthians I:24). After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. (1 Corinthians 11:25).

Some people remember Jesus once a year. Some remember Jesus once a month. Some do it every week, or every day. It is up to you to do what you want to do. Just remember him.

This is a song I wrote back in the 70’s about remembering Jesus: I remember You
